Voice and language

Voice and language can be selected per post where the configured Reels service supports them. Establish a small approved voice set for each publication rather than making an isolated choice for every video.

Editorial criteria

Choose a voice that matches the publication, subject and audience without mimicking a real contributor. Review pronunciation of people, places, organisations and specialist terms. Spellings that work in print may need phonetic guidance in a production workflow.

For translated or multilingual video, verify meaning against the source article. Names, figures, quotations and legal qualifications deserve manual attention. Do not assume that a fluent rendering is factually equivalent.

Consistency

Document the default language, approved alternatives and who may override them. Use the same naming conventions in WordPress and the Reels service so support can trace a result back to the source article.

Listen to the complete narration before distribution. Headphones are useful for pronunciation checks, but also test ordinary phone speakers because that is how much of the audience will hear the result.
