Video, galleries and featured media
Replace or supplement the lead image with video, slideshows and other editorial media formats.

Featured full-width content can replace the normal lead image with a YouTube video, gallery or other approved embed, creating a strong opening without a custom template.
Replacing the lead image
Use full-width media when video or a sequence is central to the story. Keep a suitable featured image when sharing, listings or fallback presentation require it, even if that image is hidden in the article view.
Video
Verify title, sender, publishing rights and captions where speech carries information. Avoid autoplay with sound. Preview proportions on mobile and ensure the embed cannot exceed its content container.
Galleries
A gallery should tell something one image cannot. Caption and credit each image, use a deliberate order and remove near-duplicates. The selected gallery solution can provide arrows, captions and optional automatic movement.
Editorial lightbox
Supported lightbox presentation lets readers enlarge article images. Use adequate resolution and never leave essential textual information only inside the image.
The Add-ons package also includes a YouTube Shorts slider with manual, channel-based or curated selection. Verify sources before publishing an automatic channel feed.
