Aeon News App is a white-label iOS and Android reader app built with React Native. It connects a publication’s WordPress news experience to native app navigation and app-store distribution while keeping the publisher’s identity in front of readers.

Prepare the web edition first

The app depends on an organised publishing operation. Keep headlines, sections, featured images and article structure complete in WordPress. A missing image credit, an unclear headline or weak hierarchy will still be weak in an app. Test major editorial changes on the web edition before expecting them to be effective in every reader surface.

Define ownership

Agree who owns app-facing editorial checks, release coordination and reader support. Store listing details, branding, notification policy and moderation choices need named owners. Use a staging or agreed test process for significant changes so a daily shift is not forced to diagnose an app release.

Publish with restraint

Native distribution is a relationship with a reader’s device. Notifications and featured app content should be timely, relevant and clearly governed. Review how a breaking-story sequence appears over time, including what happens after the original report is corrected or superseded.
