Aeon News Add-ons includes widgets for YouTube Shorts, live feeds and editorial quotations, adding movement and timeliness without changing the fixed page structure.
YouTube Shorts slider
Video Slider supports manual videos, a channel or curated selection. Manual mode offers greatest control. Channel mode requires continuing review because new videos can appear without another page edit.
Use a clear module title, verify the sender and embed only material the newspaper may use. Preview vertical video controls and proportions on mobile and desktop.
Live feed
Add-ons can manage up to three RSS variants and a live-feed widget. Use it for a clearly named source or beat, and check how errors, duplicates or an unavailable source are presented.
Quote widget
The quote module highlights a verified statement in a sidebar. Identify the speaker and link to reporting that provides context. Do not shorten a quotation in a way that changes its meaning.
