App
Connect the app to WordPress
Prepare the WordPress edition and verify the content surfaces used by the white-label reader app.

The Aeon News App presents content from the publisher’s WordPress site inside a branded native reading experience. The connection should be treated as a publishing integration: WordPress remains the editorial source, while the app provides native navigation, distribution and device-level capabilities.
Before connection
Confirm that the production site uses HTTPS and that its public article, category and media URLs are stable. Review the primary sections that should appear in the app and remove navigation items that are meaningful only on desktop.
Check a representative set of articles for:
- complete headlines, excerpts and featured images;
- public image URLs and usable image crops;
- consistent category and topic assignments;
- bylines, dates, credits and article labels;
- embeds that remain usable in a constrained mobile view.
Acceptance check
Test standard news, long-form, opinion, sponsored and media-rich articles. Follow links both within and outside the publication. A successful connection means that readers reach the expected content, navigation returns them to the right place and no private or staging URL appears.
Publisher-specific connection details are supplied during onboarding and should not be copied into public documentation or support messages.
