Aeon News Add-ons 1.11.3 includes polls, quizzes and video features. These formats can make an article more useful or inviting, but they need the same clarity and editorial review as text.

Polls

Ask one comprehensible question at a time. State what the poll is for and avoid presenting an informal reader response as representative research. Review answer labels on mobile and consider whether a sensitive topic needs stronger moderation or should not use a poll at all.

Quizzes

Use a quiz to explain, test knowledge or guide readers into reporting. Verify every answer, explain ambiguous cases and update it when facts change. The result should reward learning rather than make a serious subject needlessly trivial.

Video

Give video a clear editorial reason. Add a descriptive title, caption or surrounding explanation so readers understand its source and relevance. Check playback, rights, spoken language and any necessary accessibility support before publishing. Do not make essential reporting available only inside a video.
