A newspaper database grows quickly. Aeon News therefore provides more structured routes to earlier work than a basic WordPress list.
Advanced search
Search can combine a phrase with date, category and author filters and relevance sorting. Global options control page title, guidance, placeholder, button text and no-results message. Selected technical categories or authors may be hidden from the interface, but this should not make legitimate published reporting arbitrarily hard to find.
News Cycle
The News Cycle page template presents a day-based timeline with date selection and previous/next navigation. Its interface labels can be localised in theme options. It helps readers reconstruct a day’s publishing without confusing chronology with front-page judgement.
Author, category and topic archives
Author pages collect a contributor’s work, category archives represent permanent desks and topic archives gather one event or beat. Name each according to its distinct purpose.
Archive maintenance
Change URL slugs sparingly and add redirects when required. Review older articles that continue receiving traffic, especially practical, medical or legal guidance. The theme can display a configurable old-article notice based on publication age.
