Aeon News Poster
Share articles to X, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Threads, Telegram and Bluesky from the newsroom's own system.

Aeon News Poster shares articles to social networks automatically or by hand, from inside WordPress. It replaces paid sharing plugins, and the connections belong to the newspaper.
Supported networks: X, Facebook pages, Instagram business and creator accounts, LinkedIn member profiles, Threads, Telegram channels and groups, and Bluesky.
Connecting channels
Open News Poster › Channels. Each network has a card. Enter the details the network needs and choose Connect; for Facebook, Instagram, Threads and LinkedIn you then log in and approve in the network’s own window, and pick the pages or accounts Poster may publish to. Each page or account becomes a channel.

Sharing an article
Switch on Auto-share new posts for the channels that should receive every article. In the article, the Aeon News Poster box lets you change the text, leave out a channel, or add a delay or a fixed time for this article. The default delay is 60 seconds after publication.
The queue and receipts
Schedules lists every share with its status and a link to the live post. Each share is claimed once, so an article is never posted twice. If a network does not answer clearly, the share is marked Uncertain and waits for an editor to decide whether it went out. Temporary errors are retried, and expiring logins are reported before they break; enter an address under Settings › Channel health e-mail.
Planners can share a selection of archive articles at regular times.
Safe on test copies
Poster only publishes on the live site. On staging and local copies, shares end as dry runs and nothing leaves the server.
Moving from another sharing plugin
Contact us before switching. X, Telegram and Bluesky connections can often be moved as they are; Facebook, Instagram, Threads and LinkedIn are reconnected once through Aeon Media’s apps. We plan the move so that no article is shared twice.
